Dawn is a wonderful host - responsive and flexible. Her place is just across the street from the beach, making it ideal for beach time! All listed amenities are in great condition. Very dog friendly home and location. We’d love to venture back someday!

Dawn's place was perfect for our small family and dog's weekend getaway! We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and peaceful neighborhood. The small private patio is enclosed by a gate so my pup could safely join me on it off leash. Thanks for providing essentials like coffee grounds/filter, shampoo and body wash. We also discovered a cool boardwalk over the marsh only a few blocks away which includes a small bird watching trail. We would recommend staying here!

Dawns place was great. We loved our little cottage by the beach with quick easy access to the beach. The place was really cute, clean and we loved the front porch and the deck seating. The breeze off the ocean was fabulous and the place made for a great family weekend away.

We had a wonderful stay at Dawn’s cottage on Oak Island! Everything was exactly as described in the listing; clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, and the walk to the beach was just as easy and convenient as we had hoped.
Dawn was a great host, and we truly enjoyed our time here. We would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful beach stay and would happily come back again!

We had a fantastic stay at the “New” Steps to Beach cottage! Dawn was an amazing host, friendly, responsive, and made everything so easy from start to finish. The cottage itself was absolutely adorable, clean, and well-maintained.
One of the best parts was the location, just steps from the beach, which made it so convenient to come and go throughout the day. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, from the essentials to those little extra touches that made it feel like home.
It was also incredibly dog-friendly, which was such a huge plus for us. Our dog Brody absolutely loved the house and had the best time enjoying the beach right nearby. It really made the trip even more special being able to bring him along and see how much he enjoyed it too.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy beach getaway!
